Joseph C. Walker, DDS
Joseph C. Walker, DDS has practiced general dentistry in Northeast Ohio for 38 years. He has taught as a professor of Endodontics and a “Morals and Ethics in Dentistry” course facilitator at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. Additionally, while serving as past president for the Forest City Dental Society he participated in organizing scholarships for minority dental students.
Joseph Walker, DDS has invested additional time taking advanced coursework for the placement and restoration of dental implants with Thommen Medical. Over Dr Walker’s career, he has had many roles with numerous professional organizations including the National Dental Association, Tennessee State University Alumni Association, and the Meharry Medical College Alumni Association.
Dr. Walker’s greatest pride is founding the P22 Youth Foundation in 2009. This program serves as a catalyst for the spiritual development of youth through Christian-based programs. The annual P22 Teen Spiritual Camping Retreat has been attended by over 700 teens at no expense to their families. Recently, the President of the Cleveland City Council presented a Resolution of Appreciation to Dr. Walker for his dedication to his work with the foundation.
Additional service and volunteer work includes events, fundraisers, and concert organizing for the Abundant Grace Fellowship Church, Renaissance Leadership Institute at the City Mission, and a youth campaign for anti-gun violence at the City Mission.
Outside of the office, Joseph Walker, DDS enjoys spending time with his daughters and granddaughter while staying fit snow skiing with his wife Dawn. He is active with the National Brotherhood of Skiers and enjoys being a ski instructor. While Chairman of Each One Teach One Disadvantaged Youth Ski Program he raised close to $70,000 over ten years!
Lakiesha Thicklin, DDS
“Worship of GOD through service to mankind” has been the golden rule by which Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS has lived as a dental professional. She has made it her priority to not only educate and provide dental care to routine patients but to also reach further for those patients that are strangers to the dental office. While most people would think of dentistry as an esthetic need only, Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS believes its relevance reaches beyond just providing a nice smile, but has become a staple part of the general health of patients.
Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS, originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, is a graduate of the University of West Florida in Pensacola and earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS moved to Cleveland Ohio where she completed further dental training at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center Dental Residency. Additionally, she has advanced training for the placement of dental implants and is a certified Invisalign provider. She is also a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, the American Dental Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS is an avid believer in conservative and preventative dentistry and loves taking the extra time to explain procedures to make her patients comfortable and calm. When not in the office, Lakeisha Thicklin, DDS enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
